Get your Equipment Card!

This 45 minute workshop provides the basics you need to check out Level 1 gear from LCCAT.

New Studio Cameras!

Yes, we have some great new professional level studio cameras. Come to this hands on one-hour workshop to learn their ins and outs.

Capturing Your Event

One of the most common questions we get is … How can I record my organization’s event?

We love being able to share your organization’s events on Channel 99 and 22. Come to this 90 minute workshop to learn how to record those events and get some hands on practice as well! We’ll even provide video, audio, and lighting tips specific to your venue.

(workshop also counts as in the field credit toward Level 2 equipment card)

Music, Music, Music

The other most frequently asked question we hear is: how can I record my brother’s/child’s/buddys concert at a club/school/outdoor gazebo?

We love that you love local music -- and even have 10 pm to midnight slot dedicated to playing it.

This 90 minute workshop helps you build basic videography and audio skills for recording performances. We’ll also look at examples to help general ideas for making the recording pop as well as ways for creating shorter “music videos” from the same footage.

(workshop also counts as in the field credit toward Level 2 equipment card)

Auditory Allure

Sound. Sound. Sound. Sounds forms a critical part of video. Join this 1 hour workshop to learn about techniques and gear to take your audio to a new level.

(workshop also counts as best practices credit toward Level 2 equipment card)

Finding your B-Roll

B-roll – the supporting video that makes your public service announcement more interesting or your show more compelling – isn’t hard to come by as long as you plan in advance.

This 1-hour workshop helps you plan, gather, and make great use of B-roll footage.
