NewsMatch is a national campaign to support nonprofit community journalism - the kind of storytelling that makes a difference in our local community. Between November 01 and December 21 2018 NewsMatch will match your donation to Lower CapeTV/Lower Cape News dollar for dollar up to $1000.


Everyday we work to share the stories that matter to the Lower Cape - stories that elevate transparency, provide value, and resonate with all of us who care about our region.  This work is essential to a better-information community and a healthy democracy. But it isn't possible without your support.


That's why, from November 01 to December 31, we're participating in NewsMatch, the largest grassroots campaign for nonprofit news. This annual matching-gift campaign helps newsrooms like our raise funds so we can serve


Now in its third year, NewsMatch has helped nonprofit newsrooms raise more than $5 million and engaged tens of thousands of new donors to nonprofit journalism, supporting organizations that put their mission first, working around the clock with the utmost professionalism and integrity.  Without your help, stories don’t just go unread — they go untold.







Lower Cape Community Access TV is a non-profit community based organization that manages channels 99 and 22 for the towns of Brewster, Eastham, Orleans, Truro, and Wellfleet.


A 501(c)(3) organization is a corporation, trust, unincorporated association, or other type of organization that is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code. It is the most common type of the 29 types of 501(c) nonprofit organizations in the United States. Many charitable non-profits in the United States that Americans commonly know of, and often make donations to, are 501(c)(3) organizations,[according to whom?] ranging from charitable foundations to universities and churches. These organizations must be approved by the Internal Revenue Service to be tax-exempt under the terms of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
